This painting was inspired by cancer, atomic bombs and the loss of my aunt. My aunt was born in the 1950′s when the Atomic Energy Lab was sold, a toy that included cancer-causing uranium ore. I don’t think my aunt ever played with this toy but I picked up the color palette from the toy for my artwork because the colors were bright and pure.
